( France – França )

ARNAUD LAFFOND - is a multidisciplinary artist, plastic digitization workshop based in Lyon. His work is characterized by the creation of virtual environments and computer-generated materials, questioning the relationship between man and new technologies. Without forgetting a plastic and scenic work, working the digital as the tangible to surprise the spectator.

SYNOPSIS:

Arp 299 belongs to the family of ultraluminous infrared galaxies and is located in the constellation of Ursa Major, the Great Bear, approximately 150 million light-years away. It is the 299th galaxy in Arp's Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies. Despite its enormous amount of absorbing dust, enough violet and near-ultraviolet light leaks out for it to be number 171 in B.E. Markarian's catalogue of galaxies with excess ultraviolet emission.

SYNOPSIS:

Mountain Fragility is an experimental video artwork that explores the materiality of the glitch as a visual language. Through a series of compositions generated from digital errors, the artist examines the tensions between architecture, chaos, and abstraction.

The mountain, a symbolic figure of stability and elevation, becomes here an unstable territory, traversed by visual disturbances that evoke both digital ruins and mental landscapes. The glitch, far from being a simple technical accident, becomes a creative tool, a visual force capable of generating form, rhythm, and emotion.

Accompanied by the soundtrack of Hadji Hajj (Քնքշություն Լեռան, "Fragility of the Mountain"), the work offers a sensory immersion into a world where error becomes aesthetic, where collapse generates a new geography of perception
